Explain to us in advance that why people behind us are being seated rather than us. Here is what I expected in a decent restaurant, - When putting us in the waiting list, let us know that due to our big party (BTW, we only have 4 people, from when is this a big party?) that there will be delays in finding us a table. But simply bumping people down on the list without proper explanation is not acceptable. I’m a reasonable person and I understand the restaurant trying to squeeze more customers into tables. We were quite offended that we left the restaurant right away. Then she just turn around doing her things ignoring our further questions. The manager gave us a very vague sentence claiming that because of our big party, they have to wait for a bench table for us, rather than using any table available. My wife confronted the manager for an explanation. They even split a 4-seats table into two 2-seaters for two couples behind us, rather than putting us into the table. However, the waiter kept on bumping us down, putting the people behind us into table event when we’re there first. Four of us went Musashi for lunch and got us in the second position on the waiting list, with only one couple in front of us. But a recent unpleasant experience made us decided not to visit there anymore. We were fans for Musashi for its fresh chirashi with good price. If your party has more than 2 people, be prepared to be pushed down on the waiting list and a very long waiting time.

Well worth patronizing this cash-only, no-reservation local restaurant. May I make the ultimate compliment to Musashi’s by saying, on our next trip to Bellevue, for sure, we will make two visits to Musashi’s because of their excellent selection of fresh seafood, sushi, as well as Japanese curry, teriyaki beef & chicken at valuable driven prices. It sure looked like there were as many take out orders as patrons seated. Unbeatable prices!! We’ve only visited this location for lunch. Only in Japan have I found the same freshness and price for a chirashi lunch and don’t forget the hamachi or salmon collars.

You’re served 2-3 collars (depending on the size) with miso soup, ponzu sauce, plain white rice & hot tea for $8.95. Visualize a 6-inch Japanese lacquer bowl filled with sushi rice and topped with at least 3 different types of fish, shrimp, scallops, real crab meat, unagi & tamago….all for $14.95 + miso soup + hot tea! My wife’s all-time favorite is to order the grilled Hamachi collars.
